Israel Jazz Orchestra – Five musicians from the Israel Jazz Orchestra perform special arrangements from the orchestra’s repertoire, Israeli songs, and classic jazz pieces. The pieces performed include: Waltz for Plant Protection, Autumn Wind, The Long, Sad Days and more.
The quintet includes: Yair Slutzki – trombone | Dean Tsur – saxophone | Guy Kaira – guitar | Mickey Warshai – double bass | Ron Almog – drums.
Israel Jazz Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Ron Almog and Yair Slutzki, is a home that for over 20 years has been bringing Israel’s best musicians together in a creative, fertile environment of composers, arrangers and solo instrumentalists.
The orchestra uses a similar structure to the classic big band, but integrates many diverse musical styles. The orchestra’s performances are a moving, hypnotic, virtuosic musical show with not a dull moment when the orchestra’s 12 soloists display their abilities.
