Our Sustainability Aims

Ramat Hanadiv – An Experience of Nature and Man – respect the past, present, and future to inspire a sustainable living environment.

P4175056

It’s no secret that a large proportion of Ramat Hanadiv’s energies are dedicated to conserving nature and to instilling sustainability values among the wider public in general and the regional community in particular. However, as an organization that has no room for complacency, its efforts do not stop here. In addition to our public, educational and ethical activities, we work to do as much as we can to literally and figuratively sustain our values within the “walls of the house”. Because sustainability begins within us.

Green building, saving water and energy, biological pest control and production of compost from garden waste are part of the internal sustainable operations at Ramat Hanadiv. In honor of Earth Day we launched the 2017 Sustainability Report on the Ramat Hanadiv website; this report details Ramat Hanadiv’s efforts towards organizational operation that aims to reduce our impact on the environment and minimize our ecological footprint.

The report provides a glimpse of the practical sustainable processes we perform, as well as research data that support the processes, uncertainties and relevant challenges. How do we save water use in the management of the meticulous Memorial Gardens? How much do we irrigate? What do we fertilize with? How do we minimize energy use in the buildings? How do we reduce our impact on the natural landscape? and more. These questions accompany our routine work and we continue to learn and improve through the years.

Currently, we would like to share the knowledge we have acquired with you. The report is on display to the wider public as part of our desire for organizational and public transparency, as well as for the purpose of increasing awareness of the current accepted options for sustainability management, with the aim of encouraging sustainable operations in every public or private organization that has any kind of connection with us.

The report details a broad spectrum of fields of activity within the organization and the way we account for sustainable values in every field. It is user-friendly and built in a format that affords each and every person in-depth study of the field that most interests him/her.

We invite you to ‘wander’ through the report, become familiar with our work in this field and draw inspiration for your world.

Similarly, we are always happy to receive suggestions for improvement and for increased efficiency in the fields we are active in.
