Vertigo – Birth of the Phoenix

Birth of the Phoenix – a dance project about the human-environment interface

Vertigo Dance Company invites you to a unique experience beyond the walls of a closed hall, within a geodesic dome. As in ancient theatre, the artists and audience are exposed to the power of nature, sights, sounds, and feelings, beauty and difficulty.

Birth of the Phoenix is a dynamic creation that changes from one environment to another, whether natural or urban, while paying attention to the heartbeat, location, time, and season.

A poetic ceremony that pays homage to the foundations of nature takes place inside a hollow geodesic dome made of bamboo Merav Yudilovitch

The audience sits close to the dancers, surrounding the work on all sides, and thus becomes a partner in creativity.

In Birth of the Phoenix, the phoenix is revealed and then disappears at the end of the performance until it is born again somewhere else.

You’re invited to take your place in the dome and be part of the uterine energy it creates.

Vertigo Dance Company creates modern art with a strong social-community touch that seeks to bring people together through body language far beyond the boundaries of dance.

The movement seeks to provide artistic and environmental inspiration and encourage involvement through a feeling of responsibility.
