Dear visitors!

To protect the wildlife of the park, and for your personal safety, there is no hiking or cycling permitted on this trail after dark.

The gazelle population of the park declined alarmingly over the last decade. Researching the cause, we learned that visitor activity itself has a dramatic impact on the park’s wildlife.

The findings showed that, in general, the animals had become less active during peak visiting hours, shifting their routine activities to later hours.

The change meant that gazelles, now more active at night, were more liable to fall prey to jackals after dark.

To mitigate this impact, we decided to enforce the rule limiting entry for park visitors to daylight hours only, while the nights are reserved for the wildlife.

Please respect the wildlife and enjoy your visit to the park during daytime hours.

Thank you!
