Basket‑weaving Workshop

A hands-on workshop that will teach participants how to weave a basket with beads and materials from nature.

Every participant will go home with an artistic, useful basket. Use it as a stand for olive oil or wine bottles, to hold writing implements, etc.

Participants will get into the weaving experience using materials like wicker, palm fronds from the Philippines, and beads. The raw materials will be turned into functional, personal objects, giving participants immense satisfaction and confidence in their personal abilities.

Everyone in the workshop will take home the unique baskets that they’ve created.

Please note:

  • The fee: NIS 10 per person including materials (payment on site)
  • Workshop is suitable for ages 5+
  • It will be held on the lawn in the Memorial Gardens
  • The Training will be given in Hebrew

The Footprint Garden

The term ‘ecological footprint’ is taking shape in the western part of the Visitors Pavilion. A large gardening plot shaped like a foot lies in the middle of the area, with the heel pointing north, and the five toes, as one unit – to the south.
