Israel's pedagogical institutes stress the need for extracurricular, outdoor programmes in the fields of nature and the environment, history, archaeology and legacy. Ramat Hanadiv, with its varied habitats, archaeological sites, in-depth research and professional staff, is an ideal “field laboratory” for studying the ecosystem, its processes and phenomena, and provides a fertile platform for educational programmes dealing with the interrelations between humans and their environment.
In order to meet the challenges of the educational system, Ramat Hanadivs’ education department
offers a variety of programmes, appealing to students of different ages from primary through secondary school. They include activity in the classroom, in the field and on the Web.
In addition, nursery school teachers, school teachers and university students attend Ramat Hanadivs’ special training seminars and conferences, where they gain experience in ecological-environmental activities that are specially geared to meet  needs of individual groups  and institutes.
Ramat Hanadiv's educational website ( www.ramathanadiv-edu.org.il), in the Center for Educational Technology (CET), offers:
• Field Guides of the major families of organisms in the park.
• The Communications Center, to which teachers and pupils can turn directly with questions about nature and the environment
• A film archive
• A comprehensive, updated data base on Ramat Hanadiv's research
• A series of educational publications
• Details of educational programmes as follows:
Young Researchers at Ramat Hanadiv -- A programme geared to elementary- and middle-school pupils, dealing with a range of environmental topics.
Bio-research -- Launched in partnership with the National Centre for Biology Teachers, this programme offers high school biology students a one-day ecology tour of Ramat Hanadiv and a chance to do their mandatory field research there.
Environmental Sciences -- A joint project with the Supervisor of Environmental Studies, featuring:
• Ecological workshops on the topic, 'Forests and Groves'
• Ecotopes:  Three meetings devoted to field studies examining the environmental impact of human activities and interventions in nature.
Geography Programme -- A joint project with the Supervisor of Geography Studies.
• Geotopes: Research workshops for elementary- and middle-school pupils, addressing the ecology of the landscape, open spaces and ecological corridors, and the use of GIS (Geographic Information System) technologies
Long term Ecological Research (LTER-EDU) -  A programme which recruits students from all over Israel to participate in a national ecological data monitoring effort.  Participants monitor meteorological data, vegetation, arthropods, butterflies, litter decomposition and more.
Sustainability Tour -- A guided tour to several stations where students can examine issues related to conservation, biodiversity and sustainable development that are evoked by these sites.
