A Bird Festival at Ramat Hanadiv

Sukkot Week, 9-10 October 2017, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The birds' autumn migration is at its peak now and Ramat Hanadiv, an attractive stopover, is privileged to be on the avian flight path. We invite you to fly with us into the birds' fascinating world and to enjoy our activities for the whole family.

Giant Games on the lawns in the charming nooks of the gardens:

* A game about the birds' migration, for the whole family. Participants are invited to answer trivia questions, to complete some challenges, and to just have fun in the experiential activities on the giant lawn.

* A memory game that exposes players to the variety of birds that live within the borders of Ramat Hanadiv.

Creativity Workshops

* Construction of nesting boxes to hang in your garden.

* Creation of a bird-mobile to hang in your home or garden.

Observation Point

In the Rose Garden, next to the sundial, an observation point will await you, where you'll be able to look through binoculars to view the birds that stop in to visit the area. Professional explanations by a local guide will give you information about what you're seeing.

Birdsong Station

Chirp, chirp...whistle, whistle... or is there more to it? Come get acquainted, close up, with the sounds of the birds that surround us. Do all their songs sound the same? Or does each kind of bird have its own singular tune? This is the time and the place to find out.

Cellular Quiz
What birds build their nests out of mud? In what season do they begin nesting?

Awaiting you at the Quiz Stops, against a spectacular panoramic background, will be a link that you can connect to via your smartphone -- and discover a wealth of facts about birds and their world.

The activity stations will be spread throughout the Memorial Gardens.

In the Nature Park, at Ein Tzur, there will be bird-ringing activities from 8-11 a.m. (Bird ringing means putting identity tags on birds so they can be followed for scientific purposes.)

Entrance to all activities, except the Creativity Workshops, is free.

For further information, please call 04-6298111, ext. 4.
