Forestry work is going to be carried out at the end of August in the large cypress grove east of Horvat 'Aqav. Dead and decaying trees will be removed in order to maintain the health of the grove and to make it safer and more attractive. After the trees are culled, the grove will undergo a rehabilitation process.
The work, scheduled to start on 23 August, should be finished within two to three weeks. Trees will be uprooted, the trunks ground up, and the wood transported to the compost piles.
Please note: During this period, there are likely to be temporary route changes on the Red Trail and the Israel Trail, and tractors and trucks will be going through the Nature Park. We apologize for any inconvenience to visitors.
